Markets and recognition.

Where we work, who regulates each market, and exactly where we stand with each regulator.

Status by market

Recognition is earned market by market.

A laboratory's reports count only where a regulator accepts them. This table shows the markets we serve and our status in each. We update it as each recognition is granted, and we do not claim recognition before then.

Kenya first. The Gambling Control Act 2025 licenses the testing of gambling equipment and software and requires certification of gambling machines, with periodic standards verification. Fairmetric is being built for that requirement, from Nairobi.

How recognition works

Three layers stand behind a certificate.

Accreditation

A national accreditation body assesses the laboratory against ISO/IEC 17025, 17020 and 17065. For Fairmetric that body is KENAS, a signatory to the ILAC Mutual Recognition Arrangement for testing.

Regulator recognition

Each gambling regulator decides which laboratories it accepts. Recognition is applied for separately in every market.

Transfer of approval

Where a regulator allows it, existing test evidence can be reused, so only the differences need testing. How transfer of approval works.

International suppliers

Entering Africa from elsewhere?

If your products are already certified in Europe, Latin America or elsewhere, we can review that evidence against African requirements and test only the gaps. You get a local laboratory, in your target region's time zone, close to the regulator.
