Overview
Kenya's Gambling Control Act 2025 requires every gambling machine to be certified, registered and to undergo standards verification periodically. That covers slot machines, electronic gaming machines, electronic table games and the systems they connect to.
We test the machine as a whole: hardware, software, game content, meters, door and tamper controls, and the communication with monitoring systems, so a device can be approved, imported and placed in service.
What we test
- Game software, RNG and RTP on the device
- Hardware, cabinet security, doors, locks and tamper detection
- Electronic and mechanical meters and their accuracy
- Bill validators, ticket printers and cashless components
- Power loss, error and recovery behaviour
- Communication with monitoring and accounting systems
- Software verification against the approved version
What you submit
- Machine sample or access to a unit
- Software media and critical file list
- Technical documentation and manuals
- Game content and maths
- Target jurisdiction
What you receive
- Device evaluation report
- Certificate supporting registration and import clearance
- Signatures for field verification
- Findings report, where needed
Timeline and pricing
Both depend on the scope of the product and the number of markets. We agree a fixed quote and a timeline at scoping, before any work starts, and you can follow progress throughout.
