Data vault and SAFE evaluation

Regulatory data stores that hold an independent copy of gaming transactions for the regulator.

Overview

Many regulators require operators to keep a secure, tamper-evident copy of gaming data, often called a data vault or SAFE, that the regulator can inspect at any time.

We evaluate whether the vault captures the required data completely, stores it securely and makes it available to the regulator as required.

What we test

  • Completeness of data captured against the regulator's list
  • Tamper evidence and integrity controls
  • Encryption, access control and logging
  • Availability and retrieval for the regulator
  • Retention and backup arrangements
  • Reconciliation with the source platform

What you submit

  • Vault design and data dictionary
  • Regulator requirements
  • Test environment access

What you receive

  • Vault evaluation report
  • Compliance letter for the regulator
  • Findings report, where needed
